Joyful Seekers Community Group
Our mission statement is to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
The Joyful Seekers weekly gatherings consist of fellowship, sharing praises and answered prayers, prayer requests, monthly birthday celebrations with cake and ice cream, singing hymns, and studying subjects related to and from the Bible for spiritual growth. A wide variety of materials and media (study aids, DVDs, CDs, maps, etc.) are used to study the Bible, learn about Bible characters, and topics related to the Bible. We celebrate special occasions in one another’s lives and pray for one another. Usually between study topics we take a break and eat out for dinner and fellowship. Topics are chosen by the group. This is an excellent Community Group where you have the opportunity to help and serve many, many people.
Mission Projects: For years, the Joyful Seekers provide prayer support and financial support for families in Berlin, Germany and in southeast Asia; this Community Group were founders for Hope Church supporting Love Packages mission, and Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greene County, that provides temporary housing and meals for homeless families in the area.
The second Thursday of each month, we set aside our study by preparing sack lunches and delivering them to St. Vincent de Paul’s Gateway House for Women and Families.
