Worthy Of Our Praise
Our Worship Ministry is an important part of our Sunday morning worship services. Our goal is to prepare hearts for worship, and enable people to engage God directly. There are many facets to this ministry; from singers and musicians to sound and media volunteers, everyone playing a part in making your Hope worship experience a special one.
In Acts 16:25 we find Paul and Silas in prison, praying and singing to God. Not long after…there was an earthquake, and the jail doors were opened. We often find ourselves reaching out to God, and asking Him to meet our needs. On Sunday morning, we would like to give you the opportunity to reach out to God; to tell Him you love Him, to thank Him for the blessings in your life, and to express your need for Him. Sometimes we thank Him, and other times we just worship Him because He is worthy of our worship.
Our music styles are quite different at 9:00 and 11:00. We have defined our 9:00 service as ‘Classic’, which some people have interpreted as ‘Traditional’. This service is often dominated by old and new Hymns, as well as some acoustic versions of slow to moderate paced worship songs. Some Sundays you may see our orchestra or hand bell choir, as they assist in leading worship. We always have piano and sometimes an acoustic guitar to accompany this service. We also have a choir or a vocal praise team to help lead the congregation in worshipping our great God!
Our 11:00 service is geared toward those who prefer a contemporary style of worship. This service has a worship band, which includes drums, keyboard, guitar, bass, and auxiliary horns; our worship leader and praise team will lead us in singing God’s praises and engaging in a heartfelt worship experience. Some song selections you may find on KLove radio, or from other popular contemporary Christian artists. The atmosphere in this service is one of celebration. Celebrating God’s goodness and expressing our love and thanks for all that He has done!
