Reopening Plan for Hope Church
It’s been a while since we gathered together. We are eager to see you again. We will resume in-person worship on March 21. As we do, our top priority is providing the safest environment possible amid the pandemic. The following protocols have been developed following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance and those of our state and local leaders with one goal – to keep you and our community safe.
To do that, we will return to one service at 10:15 a.m. where masks are required for everyone except those speaking from the podium or singing from the platform. If you have a health condition that does not allow you to wear a mask, we refer you to our online services on the Hope Church YouTube Channel.
We need your help to keep everyone safe and allow for in-person worship to continue. It is imperative everyone follows these safety measures and failure to do so could require us to return to online-only worship.
Please use the button below to let us know you plan to join us. While it is not necessary to reserve a spot, this just helps us plan accordingly.
Following the CDC guidelines for services being held in-doors, we are safely seating and asking you to let us know you are coming. Families will be asked to sit together. Be sure to include everyone in the family who will be attending. Masks are expected to be worn at all times. We ask that you do not sit in blocked areas. If a row has been roped off, please adhere to it.
We have taken great care to map out seating and traffic flow within the sanctuary. Please follow the signs. We ask that you not congregate inside before or after a service. If you wish to come early or stay late to socialize, please do so outside. Common areas, such as the lobby, will have floor stickers to remind you to keep safe social distancing. Before services, ushers will guide you to your seat. After the service, ushers will dismiss the congregation by rows to avoid crowding at the doors.
Refreshments (coffee and/or donuts) will not be offered inside the building. Food/beverages cannot be brought into the building as consuming them requires mask removal. Water fountains are closed. Restrooms will be available. Observe the signage on the doors about limits in the facilities. Restrooms will be sanitized, and doors propped open where possible.
No Contact Service
We will not distribute bulletins or handouts, and all paper, hymnals and Bibles have been removed from the worship spaces. The order of service and announcements can be found on the new Hope Church app available for Smart Phones on iOS and Android.
Offering will be taken through electronic giving (text or via the website) or may be placed in collection box near the main exit of the worship space. Attendance will be entered electronically from the reservation submitted.
Communion will be provided as disposable, pre-packaged elements. Waste baskets will be placed for disposal of the used package after service.
All Sunday School (children, teen and adult) classes have been suspended. Small groups are meeting online. We recommend you connect with others in a small group. To learn about small group offerings, please contact the church office.
