Praying For Our Students This School Year

Another school year is upon us, and as our students head back to the classroom, let us offer up prayers for them as they tackle another year.

  • Pray that our students would be surrounded by wise teachers and adults:

“Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success.” Proverbs 15:22

  • Pray that our students would have a heart for God:

“And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you.  I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.” Ezekiel 36:26

  • Pray for protection and peace for our students:

“The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life.  The Lord keeps watch over you both now and forever.” Psalm 121:7-8

  • Pray that our students seek wisdom and become wise:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.  Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” Proverbs 3:5

  • Pray for our students to have calm hearts and rest well at night:

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.” Psalm 4:8

  • Pray for our students to have loyal, positive, and faithful friends:

“Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.” Proverbs13:20

  • Pray for favor on our students:

“May the Lord bless you and protect you.  May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you.  May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” Numbers 6:24-26Prayer is so critical to the well-being of our students.  Thank you in advance for lifting them in prayer to our Father in Heaven who hears our prayers.  May this be a year of blessings for us all.
