If you’re looking for a missionally-minded church, we believe Hope is that place.

As a body of believers, we know our greatest opportunity for Kingdom impact comes when we join together to support organizations that are already doing Kingdom work here and abroad. Here are just a few of the missions we are currently actively supporting through time, talents, and giving.

We believe the most important work we do is not within our doors, but outside them.

International Mission Partners:

Senkobo, Zambia (Africa)

The Sons of Thunder Ministries has a vision of “feeding Africa physically and spiritually through the enabling of the Holy Spirit.” The ministry is located on a 10,000-acre farm just north of Livingstone (site of famous Victory Falls). Several small villages of Zambians reside on the property. The ministry includes agriculture, medical, education and job training, widow and orphan care, and church ministries.

Hope Church was instrumental in constructing a maternity hospital on site where mothers can now receive prenatal care and give birth in a safe, sanitary environment.

General Santos City, Philippines

Naomi’s Heart Mission seeks to fulfill Isaiah 58:10. “And if you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness and your night will become like the noonday.”

Their ministry is three-pronged: feeding, healing, and teaching. Through their Community Service Ministry they conduct community outreach feedings for children, and distribute rice, clothing, and medical supplies. The ministry operates a Christian Academy for pre-K through 10 th grade, welcoming students from all backgrounds. They also facilitate sponsorship of students seeking higher levels of education through the college level.

The founders of this ministry attend Hope Church when not on site at the mission.

Eastern Europe

Eastern European Mission

This missionary family has been serving in Eastern Europe for nearly 20 years, living in a region formerly part of the Soviet bloc. In the region they serve, more than two generations grew up in an era when people were denied or had very limited access to the Bible or church attendance. Due in part to this factor and shifts in public views on Christianity, currently approximately 70% of the population of the descendants and immigrants in the region identify as atheist or agnostic. The ministry has planted several churches, operates a cultural center, and trains other missionaries in their model of ministry and disciple-making. The wife in this couple was born and raised in Hope Church and has generational ties to Hope Church from its earliest start in the 1800s to present day.

Latin America

Hidden Treasures Ministry

This anti-human trafficking ministry operates in a Latin American country and ministers specifically to women in the sex trafficking industry. A safe house is under construction and will be used as a safe place for women choosing to leave the sex industry to be housed for a period of time so they can learn new skills for supporting themselves, experience grace, and learn about being disciples of Jesus.

Cuba

The Cuban Connection Ministry

This is a common name for multiple organizations doing ministry in and on behalf of Cuba, yet the specific ministry by this name supported by Hope Church was founded and is operated by Cuban American immigrants who have chosen to return to Cuba, after gaining American citizenship, for the purpose of ministering to the persecuted church in Cuba. This ministry interacts with a network of American churches and ministries to help encourage and provide humanitarian support consistent with U.S. State Department statutes to a network of Cuban churches.

Mission Addiction is a Christian, non-profit organization based in Dayton, Ohio, with a nationwide reach. Its name is a play on words: addressing the entire spectrum of addiction as well as being “addicted” to God’s mission of serving others. This ministry evolved from addressing recovery from addiction to addressing root causes of family and life challenges. They serve individuals (age 16+), couples, and families. They focus on building and integrating physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual health with a focus on life purpose. Their faith-based Map for Healing and Recovery program is a fast-track guide that will help you master these areas and much more. Additionally, building and training a large volunteer workforce is also important to their mission as participants learn a deeper appreciation of their personal value and purpose by serving others.

Thrive Together is a holistic approach towards addressing poverty where participants feel empowered, experience community, and find hope. Participants meet at Fairhaven’s Centerville Campus on Tuesdays from 5:45-8:00 for a home-cooked dinner and a time of community and fun in learning new skills. Childcare and children’s programs are available.
