Ways to Get Engaged – Sunday School and Small Groups Kick Off

For several weeks this summer we have been looking at what it means to engage in a life of faith. We have looked at four key factors.  To engage in a life of faith we will:

  1. Connect in a solid relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
  2. Act on the need that each of us have of belonging to a small group of Christian brothers and sisters who become our small faith family within the larger circle of our congregational faith family. We will find that place where we can grow together, struggle with the troubles of life together as well as a place to celebrate the joys we experience.
  3. Hear the call into service using the gifts that the Holy Spirit gives us.
  4. Respond to the call to reach out beyond ourselves with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I can’t stress how important it is that each of us get connected to a small group. The Christian walk is not something we can do in isolation. We need one another. So I want to take some time and space here to remind you of the opportunities you have to find a group to belong to, a place to do life together, a setting to go deeper with the Lord. As I begin to list the opportunities, let me remind you that if at anytime you feel God leading you to start a small group, please contact me!

Sunday mornings

This fall we will have two new opportunities for everyone.  Groups will began officially September 12th at 9:00 a.m.
